maltatoday | SUNDAY • 28 MARCH 2021 13 COMMERCIAL Keeping Hamrun clean with Briiz THE Ħamrun Local Council is proud to announce that it will be working with Briiz to breathe new life into Ħamrun by keep- ing our streets and our squares clean for all to enjoy. Ħamrun is one of the busiest areas in Malta due to its grow- ing business community and commercial establishments. Thousands of people and vehi- cles pass through Ħamrun each day and considering the new developments it has seen over the past years, these numbers are only expected to increase. While the Local Council wel- comes this change moving for- ward, it wants to ensure that residents, as well as visitors, have the most enjoyable expe- rience when roaming through Ħamrun's streets or relaxing at its squares. The Ħamrun Local Council in collaboration with the cleaning company Briiz will be working at revitalising the three main squares of Ħamrun. The three squares being referred to here include Pjazza Kappillan Mus- cat, Gnien Oreste Chircop and the St Pauls Square. Work on these areas is already underway and we look forward to seeing them being enjoyed by friends and families. Briiz will also be in charge of cleaning up specific areas where people usually gather and bring them back to their original state. Now, a time where everyone across the is- land is limited as to where they can go out, the Local Council truly understands the impor- tance of keeping such envi- ronments clean and safe espe- cially for Ħamrun residents, as well as business owners. With Briiz's help the council wishes to demonstrate its solidarity with the hardships that shop owners faced during this pan- demic by cleaning up the fa- cades of their establishments and washing down the pave- ments. Briiz is a cleaning company that specialises in a plethora of cleaning services including vehicles, domestic and com- mercial cleaning and even san- itisation. With several years of experience under its tool-belt, Briiz understands what it takes to deliver a quality service in a dedicated manner. Briiz has made its mission to provide the level of care and attention each household and commu- nity deserves. It is managing to keep this promise by being a pioneer in harnessing digital methods to improve customer experience, and in introducing and using ecological domestic cleaning products that are now available for all to use. The Local Council would like to take this opportunity to thank Briiz for its collaboration in this endeavour which will see Harmun gain a new lease of life as it continues to progress into one of Malta's top com- mercial areas. Vassallo Group chairman presents sculpture to CareMalta senior nursing manager CAREMALTA'S senior nurs- ing manager Noel Borg and his wife Edel recently received a sculpture by Joseph Scerri from Nazzareno Vassallo, chairman of the Vassallo Group, in rec- ognition of Mr Borg's excellent leadership, guidance and dedi- cation over the past year during the pandemic. Mr Vassallo handed the cou- ple the work of art – a light- house set on a rock battling waves, held by a multitude of caring hands. Natalie Briffa Farrugia, CEO of CareMalta, said: "Noel was our lighthouse in very difficult times. This is for you as a fam- ily – for your daughter Jael and wife Edel, who supported you, especially in her new role as as- sistant facility manager of the Żejtun Home – to show our ap- preciation. Although the origi- nal meaning behind the hands holding the lighthouse rep- resents CareMalta's constant care and support, ultimately, they symbolise God's hands." Mr Borg said his main aim was to safeguard the residents in all facilities. "It has been a long and difficult journey, one which hasn't yet ended, but with vaccination in all our homes completed, we are final- ly seeing some light." A sketch of the lighthouse, drawn by the artist before creating the sculp- ture, was also presented to Mr and Mrs Borg.
