The project relates to the provision
of a public open space where before
there was none. Whenever nonde-
script and incongruous buildings can
be demolished, the provision of public
open spaces within the village cores
are to be encouraged. Landscaping and
seating have been provided for, with a
water feature providing a central fo-
cus point for the space. The design of
the paving denotes where the former
building outline once was stood, and
delineates the space at the junction of
two streets in this historic area.
