maltatoday | SUNDAY • 2 MAY 2021 18 COMMERCIAL NEED a boost? Refresh your body and mind with Aquarius, a new range of drinks containing water plus essential minerals. The Coca-Cola system in Malta launches Aquarius, a new range of drinks in the com- pany's portfolio containing es- sential minerals - Magnesium and Zinc - to support the active lifestyle of a generation that wants to achieve success and enjoy life to the fullest. Aquar- ius is a water + essential min- erals drink, with natural fla- vorings, low in calories. The drink is available in 2 vari- ants: Aquarius with added Zinc and Lemon flavor and Aquari- us with added Magnesium and Blood Orange flavor, both with only 14 kcal/100 ml. The new range is designed for everyday moments when you are looking for a bit more from your drink: refreshing and hydrating like water but with so much more in it. Mag- nesium contributes to a reduc- tion of tiredness and fatigue, while Zinc contributes to the nor- mal function of the immune system. One 400 ml bottle of Aquarius covers 30% of the daily recommended intake for each of the two minerals. Magnesium and Zinc are es- sential for the optimum func- tioning of our bodies. Mag- nesium fights tiredness and restores electrolyte balance, boosting your vitality. Zinc helps body cells deal with stress and enhances the immu- nity system. Our bodies do not produce Zinc and Magnesium, so the only way to secure the right level of these minerals is through what we eat and drink. "Aquarius is an important part of our development strategy in 2021 and plays an important role in the ongoing expansion of our portfolio, supporting our ambition to become a To- tal Beverage Company. It's in- spired by the "achiever" gener- ation – as each variant contains a different essential mineral they need on a daily basis, in their struggle to win. It is the drink for all the losers of wa- ter and minerals, putting back what their active lifestyle takes out" said Andrea Riffici, Brand Manager for Aquarius within GSD Marketing Ltd. GSD Marketing is the official distributor of Aquarius and the sole licensed bottler for prod- ucts of The Coca-Cola Compa- ny in Malta. Aquarius, a new type of drink, comes in two variants Teatru Manoel starts structural works following busy theatre season TEATRU Manoel has com- menced structural works on the Priory of Navarre and the thea- tre while it is closed due to the restrictions brought about by COVID-19 pandemic. Since mid-October 2020, the Manoel has hosted more than 50 different performances both on stage and online, including several Toi Toi events and per- formances relating to the pop- ular Valletta Baroque Festival, while overcoming the signif- icant staging challenges pre- sented by the pandemic. When the Theatre closed its doors due to the latest COV- ID-19 measures, the Teatru Manoel team took the decision to initiate structural works to the historic building that could potentially create disruptions to attending audiences and artists, thereby limiting any in- convenience. The project aims to provide better accessibility to both the Priory and theatre through the insertion of a panoramic lift, while improving general access for all to both buildings. It is also designed to bring togeth- er all the theatre's operational and administrative functions in one place, enhancing the over- all experience to both staff and visitors. Ground floor works include a new booking office to accom- modate two members of staff, which will feature a marble counter and bespoke joinery. A new exhibition area will like- wise be fitted with customised joinery to exhibit costumes, objects and documents related to the history of Teatru Ma- noel. Visitors and staff will also benefit from a new café area, finished to the high quality be- fitting the entrance to such a prestigious and historic build- ing. The historic theatre itself will have restoration works, both on the surface of the stage and the orchestra pit façade. Likewise, the chandelier and sconces are being replaced with a blown white Murano glass chandelier, in the Rezzonico style in keeping with the thea- tre's baroque architecture. Works on the theatre's first floor plan will extend the ex- isting Maria Ghirlando Hall, significantly increasing its ca- pacity while providing an area that may be used for concerts, rehearsals, lectures and meet- ings. A fully fitted bar area will also serve the floor, while VIPs visiting the theatre can make use of a new, dedicated VIP room. The high-quality finish- es featured in the design of this area include timber wall panel- ling, decorative timber ceilings, marble bars counters, timber flooring with acoustic matting and customised joinery. The full range of refurbish- ments is planned to be com- pleted as quickly and efficiently as possible, so that Teatru Ma- noel can welcome audiences back to the revitalised space at the earliest opportunity.
