rovision Song Contest final in
Rotterdam (results unknown
by the time of going to print).
Her confident performance
in the first semi-final of the
week raised hopes in Euro-
vision-mad Malta that the
small island could clinch the
coveted trophy of euro-pop
schmalz, 20 years from when
Malta rejoined the Eurovision
stream.
