maltatoday | SUNDAY • 27 JUNE 2021 18 COMMERCIAL Delicata's Classic Wine Festival returns in 2022 AFTER two enforced fallow years for what is known as Mal- ta's grandest wine happening, the Delicata Classic Wine Festi- val is scheduled to return with a bang in 2022. The provisional dates to pen- cil in your diary are 12, 13 and 14 August 2022 for the Malta edition at the Upper Barrakka Gardens, Valletta. The dates for the Gozo repeat of the fes- tival in Nadur in 2022 will be communicated later. Delicata's annual wine fest had to be can- celled in 2020 and will not be held this year either given the COVID-19 restrictions on the organisation of mass events. "But we can't wait to welcome back all the Delicata fans and the thousands of loyal festi- val revellers in the summer of 2022 for what will be the 19th edition since the first festival took place in 2002", a Delicata Winery spokesperson said. "It promises to be a fantastic wine celebration to look for- ward to for our team, the many helpers, the entertainers, cater- ers, charity partners, suppliers, sponsors, the Valletta commu- nity and, of course, the tens of thousands of wine enthusiasts from Malta and beyond our shores that make the event the success that it is." Emmanuel Delicata is Malta's oldest family-run winery pro- ducing an extensive range of 30 Malta-grown boutique wines which have amassed over 100 international awards. Festival updates will be communicated via the Delicata website www. delicata.com and the winery's Facebook page www.facebook. com/DelicataWinery/ 'Atlas Matchday Moments' winners get UEFA Euro 2020 Uniforia match balls SEVEN participants have al- ready taken home a UEFA Euro 2020TM Uniforia official match ball, after they participated and won the daily 'Atlas Matchday Moments' competition which Atlas insurance is currently holding in collaboration with TVMSport. The competition is asking football fans to choose their fa- vourite moment of every match day, in order to win a Uniforia official match ball – the exact same ball which is used during the tournament, and which re- tails at Eur140. The UEFA Euro 2020TM has barely concluded the group stage, but the mem- orable moments have been abundant and beautiful. Spec- tacular long-distance goals, and equally spectacular saves provided for a riveting tourna- ment so far, as fans finally re- turned to the stadia. Italy fans enjoyed seeing their favourite team sailing through to the sec- ond phase uncharacteristically unfazed, while England scraped through to the second round much to the chagrin of their fans! But probably the stand- out moment of the tournament so far was Denmark's Chris- tian Eriksen's shocking medi- cal emergency right in front of the world, leading to a beauti- ful display of sportsmanship as tributes from teammates and opponents alike came pour- ing in, and the fairy-tale-like qualification to the second round. In order to win with 'Atlas Matchday Moments', fans need to tune in every day on TVMSport and follow the post-match discussion, during which three most memorable moments of the match day are shown. The following day, Atlas will post these moments on its Facebook page and fans will be invited to vote for one using reactions. In the evening, during TVMSport, the winning moment of the previous match day will be announced, and a fan will be chosen at random from all the voters. Hundreds of hopeful fans have already participated in the competition, as a total of 22 lucky winners will take home the unique match ball – a great memento of a special edition of the tournament which is taking place a year late due to COV- ID-19, yet still carrying 2020 in the name. 'Atlas Matchday Moments' is the latest initiative by At- las Insurance in a series that promotes sports of all kinds to a wide audience. Through the Atlas Young Athlete of the Month, the sponsorship of Melita FC and other initiatives, Atlas Insurance underlines the importance of sportsmanship, as the competitive determina- tion of athletes inspires more people to be successful in all aspects of life. All smiles! The first winners of the 'Atlas Matchday Moments', in collaboration with TVMSport, pose in front of Atlas Insurance Head Office as they received their UEFA Euro 2020 Uniforia official match ball
