Of which 340,423 people are fully vaccinated. Total recoveries stand at 30,165, while total cases reg- istered stand at 30,675. There are 90 active COVID-19 cases. No deaths were registered in the last 24-hours. The total number of deaths is 420. 2,481 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of swabs to 1,001,347. FOOTBALL fans will be allowed back into the national stadium for the first time in 16 months after matches had to continue behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Malta Football Asso- ciation said. Regarding the upcoming UEFA Club competition matches, MFA said that the capacity within the stadium would be limited to 200 persons, excluding those on the pitch. On Saturday, the health authori- ties announced new protocols for large events. The authorities intro- duced a "bubble" concept for large venues, stating that the event can accommodate up to 100 people per separate section if the venue is equipped to have physically sepa- rate sections. The MFA said only persons in possession of a match ticket, and a vaccination certificate will be al- lowed to enter the stadium. The association said an identi- fication document would also be requested before entry to the sta- dium. Persons attending such match- es will also be requested to pro- vide their contact details for con- tact-tracing purposes. The association said there would be no ticket sales at the door and that persons must wear masks the entire time and respect social dis- tancing Anyone not adhering to these measures will not be granted ac- cess to the stadium. Mosta FC will be hosting Spar- tak Trnava in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Con- ference League at the Centenary Stadium tonight. Birkirkara too will be welcom- ing their fans for the first time in almost 18 months, during Thurs- day's UEFA Conference League match against La Fiorita.
