7.10.2021 6 NEWS Malta's ANCHOVY. & Tarjama announce partnership for localised brand experience in MENA region THE teams of Tarjama and ANCHO- VY are excited to announce the official launch of their joint venture in Dubai, UAE. e partnership is a strategic col- laboration with an aim to deliver a lo- calized, end-to-end brand and content experience to clients across the MENA region. e strategic alliance of the two com- panies will boost their service offer- ings, giving clients a whole new level of digital experience. With ANCHO- VY's digital advertising and marketing solutions combined with Tarjama's full range of advanced language solu- tions, clients will be able to access a high-standard, 360-degree digital ex- perience through only one stakeholder. AS a member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), the Malta Stock Exchange (MSE) joined a number of other exchanges around the world and held a 'Ring e Bell for Financial Lit- eracy' event at its premises to promote financial literacy, investor protection and financial inclusion – as part of the World Investor Week (WIW) 2021. e event was organised in conjunction with the Malta Financial Services Au- thority (MFSA). e WFE, the global industry group for exchanges and central counterparty clearing houses (CCPs), supports the International Organization of Securi- ties Commissions (IOSCO) WIW 2021, which runs between 4 October and 10 October 2021. Joseph Portelli, Chairman of the MSE together with Emily Benson, Head Conduct Supervision at the MFSA ad- dressed those present during the event held at the Exchange. Subsequently, Cliff Pace, Director of Studies at the Malta Stock Exchange Institute (MSEI) and Benson jointly rang the bell to mark the occasion. Portelli said: "We are keen to continue addressing the need to increase finan- cial literacy among investors and mem- bers of the public. We are very pleased with the MSEI and how it promotes fi- nancial literacy in Malta". He said that such initiatives, jointly organised with the MFSA, are part of the Exchange's Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives and, in particular, investor education should be prioritised to ensure continued market integrity. WIW is a week-long, global campaign promoted by IOSCO to raise awareness about the importance of investor edu- cation and protection, and to highlight the various initiatives of securities reg- ulators in these two critical areas, whilst promoting financial literacy. e 2021 edition will mark the fifth year of this campaign. is year, a record 78 exchanges are holding virtual bell ringing ceremo- nies, workshops and events this week to drive awareness of the importance and necessity of financial literacy and its im- pact on life.
