maltatoday | SUNDAY • 10 OCTOBER 2021 7 ART SPAZJU Kreattiv Launches Sen- ior Citizen's Programme created to increase community engage- ment through art. Following the launch of its new programme earlier in Sep- tember, Spazju Kreattiv now presents a full-fledged pro- gramme of events taking place throughout the year targeted towards Senior Citizens whilst marking the International Day for Older Persons. Since Fondazzjoni Kreattiv- ità's establishment in the year 2000, one of its main objectives is to be a catalyst of contempo- rary expression by providing the space for different com- munities to share the creative experience. The new Senior Citizens' Programme forming part of Spazju Kreattiv's sea- son 2021-22 is another step to- ward reaching this aim. It also builds upon the strategic pillar of community outreach which is central to Spazju Kreattiv's season by creating a catalogue of events for individuals aged 65 and upwards. Composed of 16 initiatives, around a variety of artistic events, ranging from theatri- cal performances to cinema screenings exhibitions, this programme was created in or- der to encourage participation in the arts by senior citizens. Throughout the programme senior citizens will also be giv- en the opportunity to take part in conversations with promi- nent names in the local and in- ternational cultural scene. Through the Senior Citi- zens' programme, Spazju Kreattiv aims to create a space for older audiences to engage with the com- munity at large and ex- press themselves through art. This series of events will not only contain perfor- mances with nostalgic subjects, but will also en- courage intergenerational dialogue by tackling top- ics which at the core of the current socio-political discourse.- For more information visit www.kreattivita.org Spazju Kreattiv launches senior citizen programme to increase community engagement through art Il-klus ta' clews Arthouse films Skald Met Opera: Live In HD
