Expenditure on the in-work benefit will increase to €12.5 million from €9 million after increasing the income threshold to €50,000 thus enabling more families to benefit from it. Widows' pensions will increase by €10 million for a total spend of €165 million. Finance The free child care for all service will cost €31 million, up from €25.5 million this year. The Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit will receive €10.9 million, an increase of €2.4 million. Compensation payments to address past injustices will cost €11 million. Health A budget of €25 million has been allocated for COVID-19 supplies and €12 million for new medicines. The national diabetes strategy will receive €4.4 million, an increase of almost €1 million. Government will spend €46 million on the concession agreement with Steward for the Gozo hospital and €23 million on Karin Grech Hospital – increases of €10 million and €9 million respectively. The Inwadar national park will get an initial expenditure next year of €3 million. With an emphasis on electric vehicles, €1 million is allocated for the erection of charging pillars. Transport Free buses for all will require the subsidy for public transport to increase to €38 million from €33 million, while the expenditure on the Tal-Linja card will increase to €8.6 million from €3.9 million. A grant for electric vehicles will increase by €1 million to €3.5 million, while the car scrappage scheme will see its budget reduce by €1 million.
