Fundación Mapfre launches new edition of awards for social innovation FOR the fifth consecutive year, Fundación MAPFRE, in part- nership with IE University, fos- ters social innovation as a driver of change. The objective is to identify projects with a high ca- pacity for social transformation and positive impact and enable them to show their value and potential to improve people's lives. This year, the Fundación MAP- FRE Social Innovation Awards will focus on three integral ar- eas of society, namely mobility, health, and the senior economy. Thus, researchers, entrepre- neurs, scientists, and students from universities and business schools will have an opportunity to present solutions focused on three objectives: improving the mobility and safety of the most vulnerable groups; fostering health and encourage healthy habits; and promoting initiatives that encourage active aging and improve the quality of life of people 55 to 75 years old. The awards will be launched in three regions: Brazil, the rest of Latin America, and Europe, where a total of nine finalist pro- jects will be nominated, i.e., one per category and region. The selection will take place in February 2022 and the grand finale will be held in Madrid in April 2022, where three winners (one per category) will be cho- sen. The nine finalists will have the opportunity to be part of a pub- lic relations plan, receive high visibility with potential inves- tors, and get advice on how to most effectively carry out their proposals. The winners will re- ceive free coaching and consult- ing sessions and an individual prize of 40,000 euros to carry out their project. All of them will become part of the Innova Network, the com- munity of social entrepreneurs created around the Awards, which encourages the exchange of expert knowledge and support among entrepreneurs around the world. December 2021 - February 2022 Submission evaluation phase APS senior management tackles the future OVER three days of presenta- tions, workshops and group- work, APS Bank's Senior Man- agement team discussed how the world of work has changed and what the future looks like. The residential event, held at Kempinski San Lawrenz, saw ex- perts being invited to share their knowledge and experience with the team. Speakers who pre- sented their insights included Luca Martini and Ajay Rawal, Partners at EY, Dr Paul Daniel Micallef, psychologist and ex- ecutive coach, and Nikhil Patil, GO plc CEO. Ediana Guil- laumier, EY Connect Learning Lead, moderated a workshop which considered the Man- agement team's responses to an internal survey versus EY global employee research on the future of work. The Offsite, which also featured the team's own individual and group pres- entations, was an excellent op- portunity for the colleagues to spend much-needed time to- gether at a social level.
