Excellence in Customer Care has been described as a journey rather than a destination, or as the destination that is always just around the next corner. This and much more was dis- cussed by Frank Salt Real Es- tate's team of secretaries and manager assistants during a two-day training course organ- ised by First Class Etiquette – an international etiquette and protocol academy with offices in Malta providing training and consultancy services. The training was conducted by Ramona Galea who holds 25 years of experience in the corporate field. Spread over two days, the training covered soft skills necessary to deliver a bespoke customer experience that fosters. 'While a variety of elements go into creating a successful real estate business, customer service is centre stage. Every interaction the company has with a customer (or potential customer) can affect the busi- ness' bottom line', stated Doug- las Salt, Frank Salt Real Estate Director for Training and HR. 'Often, customer service is what separates companies that thrive from those that fail. Therefore, it is imperative that businesses invest in quality customer ser- vice training programs'. Frank Salt Real Estate invests heavily in ongoing initiatives that empower its staff to better themselves, be it in whichev- er role they are. The company also makes sure to live up to its ethos, in always providing a first-class service to its clients, in a trustworthy and ethical manner. MCAST'S Freshers' Days 2021 have come to an end. After one year and a half of online lectures, the event marked an exciting start to the new aca- demic year on campus. Over 80 companies and NGOs participated in this year's activities. Freshers' Days events included orientation visits, talks and demonstra- tions, which allowed MCAST to give students a warm wel- come. Celebrations kicked off with the annual Opening Ceremo- ny during which, Principal and CEO Professor Joachim James Calleja delivered a speech, highlighting how MCAST al- ways strives to follow a stu- dent-first approach. His Excellency, the President of Malta George Vella and Minister for Education Justyne Caruana, visited MCAST's Freshers' Days occasion. To- gether with the Principal, they toured the campus and expressed their satisfaction at the level of organisation and active student participation witnessed during the event. During his visit, the Presi- dent was told how the range of events and activities during this year's Freshers' were de- signed to help new students in- tegrate, make new friends and familiarise themselves with the Campus surroundings. During his visit, the President met with various students and wished them success in their studies. Other VIP visitors during this week included Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Sustainable Development Miriam Dalli, Parliamentary Secretary for EU Funds Stefan Zrinzo, Opposition leader Dr Bernard Grech and Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Education Dr Francis Fabri. Freshers' Days 2021 suc- cessfully provided an oppor- tunity for students to get to know the college, learn more about their course and their respective institute.
