maltatoday | SUNDAY • 7 NOVEMBER 2021 16 COMMERCIAL A painting by landscape water- colourist Diane Agius Calleja was unveiled at Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieħa as part of the Naz- zareno Vassallo Art (ZVART) initiative, launched by the Vas- sallo Group to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Retrieved Nostalgia is the fourth work of art commis- sioned by CareMalta. A sculp- ture by Wallace Falzon, The Heart Giver, was unveiled in March at the group's head of- fice in Mosta, followed by Red Pillar Box, an oil on canvas by Jessica Debattista, at Casa Arkati and three paintings in watercolour and acrylic mixed media by Joseph Baldacchino, entitled Nostalgia of Żejtun, at the Żejtun Home. Group chairman Nazzare- no Vassallo, accompanied by Pio Vassallo, the group's CEO, and Natalie Briffa Farrugia, CEO of CareMalta, said he was honoured to unveil yet anoth- er beautiful work of art in the ZVART series, this time remi- niscent of days gone by in Mell- ieħa. Members of the ZVART committee, chaired by Charlo Bonnici, were also present. The scene features a little square, part of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mellieħa and four residents from Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieħa captured sitting and strolling around. The res- idents are Mary Scerri, Alfred Muscat, Emily Agius and John Mary Galea, who were at the launch. "Inspired by the tranquilli- ty, history and natural beauty of this location, my aim was to create a pleasant nostalgic memory of this peaceful place," said Agius Calleja, who enjoys plein-air painting around Mal- ta and Gozo. "Although a chal- lenge in many ways, painting outdoors is certainly exciting and rewarding. I love all things creative and always look for- ward to my next work of art." Retrieved Nostalgia is the artist's first ever painting for a care home. "I painted it es- pecially for this occasion and was delighted at the opportu- nity given to me through the group's ZVART initiative." Agius Calleja is a self-taught artist who tries to depict life's natural wonders from her own perspective, paying special attention to light and atmos- phere. Mellieha location's tranquility and natural beauty inspire art commissioned by CareMalta Atlas Insurance wraps up another successful Mental Health awareness month ATLAS Insurance has wrapped up another successful Mental Health Awareness Month dur- ing October, which was charac- terized by a series of initiatives and events aimed to raise aware- ness on the importance of good mental health. This was the third year run- ning that, for a whole month, the insurance firm engaged with all its stakeholders, in- cluding employees and clients, on the subject of mental health - which is at the heart of At- las's wellbeing programme. Throughout this period, a 30- day Mental Health Guide and tips, developed by ICAS, were shared by Atlas on its social media channels and amongst employees. "Change & Transitional Lead- ership" was the theme of a we- binar organised by Atlas for its clients and members of The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry. Atlas is spearheading the cross-sec- toral Health and Wellness Committee within The Mal- ta Chamber. The webinar ex- plored the change process and how managers can build their own resilience, and introduced the concept of GRIT and how this can be used to manage or- ganisational transitions. GRIT, which stands for "Guts, Resil- ience, Initiative and Tenacity", is a positive mind-set which helps leaders cultivate a team environment wherein people feel secure, valued, and empow- ered. The webinar was highly interactive and was facilitated by Kim Mussmann, an ICAS Certified Results Coach, and introduced by Atlas Health- care. In addition, Atlas organised two engaging webinars, in collaboration with ICAS, for #TeamAtlas on mental health and wellbeing. "Coping with multiple demands" was the theme of a webinar held on 20 October for all Atlas staff. An- other webinar was organised specifically for the firm's lead- ers, entitled "Managing teams through difficult times", which was held earlier in the month. Both webinars were interac- tive, with employees actively discussing the topic of mental health and sharing experiences and insights in a positive envi- ronment. "This past month has been an intense one, as planned. Our objective is to continue to raise awareness and remove the stigma associated with mental health," said Catherine Calle- ja, Managing Director at Atlas Healthcare. "By involving our internal and external stakeholders, we want to continue the discussion on this topic and ensure that wellbeing – both physical and mental – is top of our agenda. These initiatives give us all an opportunity to step back from day-to-day routine and reflect on this subject," she said. As the ability to organise safe face-to-face encounters be- came more possible, Atlas em- ployees had the opportunity to meet in small groups for "well- being lunches" held in the com- pany's boardroom throughout October. These lunches were a great opportunity to recon- nect and unwind with col- leagues from different offices, after only being able to see each other virtually for a long period of time. ICAS is a glob- al 24/7 international Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), provided by Atlas Healthcare, which provides unlimited di- rect access to psychologists for employees and their families, as well as local face to face coun- selling, legal and financial help- lines and support for HR and line managers. Atlas Healthcare Insurance Agency Limited (C32603) is authorised under the Insur- ance Distribution Act to act as Enrolled Insurance Agents for Atlas Insurance PCC Limited. Both entities are regulated by the MFSA.
