Directed by Adrian Buckle and starring Mikhail Basmad- jian, Antonella Axisa and Erica Muscat, the story follows Re- becca (Axisa) and Paul (Basm- adjian) as they run away from memories and mistakes in a bid to save their relationship. Tak- ing time and space in an isolat- ed house in the country, they believe they have found the perfect place to work things out. But you can't run forever – especially when you are being followed. Black Mountain has received rave reviews since its first per- formance at Theatre Clwyd, Mold, in July 2017, with Broad- way Baby calling it 'a piece of intelligent, gripping writing ****' and the Scotsman describ- ing the play as '[A] terrific psy- chological thriller...This is a real rarity *****'. Booking is now open for MADC's unmissable produc- tion of Black Mountain at www.madc.com.mt, with stag- ing and performance dates de- signed to offer audiences com- fort and safety while keeping to the evolving national guide- lines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. "We are thrilled to welcome audiences back to the MADC Playhouse for this superb- ly gripping production," says MADC Chairman Martin Az- zopardi. "To keep everyone safe and comfortable, we have chosen not to sell tickets at the theatre's full capacity, instead offering audience members so- cially distanced seats at a wider choice of performances across nine evenings, all compliant with current COVID-19 proto- cols. This also allows us extra flexibility should these proto- cols change in the interim." According to current guide- lines, each audience member for Black Mountain must pres- ent a valid COVID-19 vaccine certificate at the door, while masks must be always worn except when eating and drink- ing. No tickets will be printed or sold at the door. Drinks and snacks are also available for purchase online at the time of booking. Black Mountain by Brad Birch will have nine performances at the MADC Playhouse, Sta Ven- era from 3-5 and 8-13 Decem- ber at 8pm. Tickets are priced at €20 and must be booked on- line in advance at www.madc. com.mt. This play is suitable for audiences aged 16 and over. A stellar cast will bring the critically acclaimed drama to life at the MADC Playhouse in Sta Venera from 3 to 5 and 8 to 13 December
