Evidence is reflected in the World Travel Awards annual voting fig- ures. e awards are voted for by travel and tourism professionals and customers worldwide, recog- nising commitment to excellence by service providers across all sectors of the industry. "We are honoured to be named Malta's Best Car Rental Company for 2021. is is the third year in a row we have received a World Travel Award and comes at a time when Hertz Malta is celebrating its 60th anniversary as the Hertz International Franchisee for the local market," said Simon Gatt Baldacchino, Managing Director of United Garage Limited, Hertz International Franchisee for Mal- ta. "is not only makes the award special but also reiterates our commitment to offer a premium service to each and every cus- tomer. is award is an acknowl- edgement of the hard work and dedication to excellence by all our employees." Gatt Baldacchino said that, now that tourism was opening up again, the industry has turned the corner and should be seeing con- sistent growth from here on. THE Gaming Authority (MGA) has published new regulations changing the way key personnel - called 'post holders' - will need to be hired by gaming companies that are licensed in Malta. This is a regulatory require- ment. This change will oblige iGaming companies to make a number of op- erational and human resources adjust- ments that are challenging, given the robust state of the employment mar- ket. The B2B key functions have been reduced from nine to seven and the B2C key functions have been reduced from fifteen to eight but the job de- scriptions and key requirements for each role have become more compre- hensive. Two leading Maltese firms, AE Busi- ness Advisors and Exacta Solutions have joined forces to support iGaming companies based here in Malta, in the implementation of the new rules. "We have been supporting the busi- ness community for more than two decades and, as compliance tightens, we can help them overcome the chal- lenges that come with this develop- ment," Georg Sapiano of AE Business Advisors, said. AE provides technical persons, who are already approved by the MGA, for the key regulatory roles that an iGa- ming company needs to fill and wants to outsource for a period of up to one year. Chris Vella, co-founder and MD at Exacta Solutions said, "Our role is not to provide immediate and temporary relief, that is the role of AE. What we do is provide the outreach to the market where we have a large net- work, to find the right candidates for these roles: people who want to make a career out of this." The leader of AE's iGaming Practice, Michael Spiteri Bailey thinks that the synergy will work particularly well for start-ups. "When a brand is in its early stages, it is relatively unknown on the market and potential recruits are unlikely to be attracted by the chance of a career there, preferring the more established players." Once a long-term candidate is se- lected, the applicant receives indus- try-specific training from a techni- cal team: induction and guidance is provided to help the new post-holder transition seamlessly into his or her new role.
