maltatoday | SUNDAY • 26 DECEMBER 2021 16 COMMERCIAL Christmas spirit across the APS Bank network TO help spread the joy and cheer of Christmas, APS Bank offices and branches are this year again adorned with a range of deco- rative ideas, from architectural lighting at Head Office to Christ- mas trees and decorations of var- ious kinds. The festive ambience is further spirited with an abun- dance of poinsettia plants, pur- chased in aid of Hospice Malta. This year a special display is set up at the APS Hub in St Julian's, where a nativity scene has been created by children who make use of the services offered by the Karl Vella Foundation. This NGO provides educational and psychological support to chil- dren between the ages of 5 and 16 years going through the illness or loss of a family member. The Bank also made a financial con- tribution to support the work of this NGO, which are offered to families free of charge. Rachael Blackburn, Head of Culture commented, "The Christmas decorative project was definitely a win-win for both the Bank and its customers, who are enjoying the festive déco, while supporting two important, local NGOs actively committed to di- rectly serving the community." INSPIRE Foundation Malta is seeking to raise €10,000 in funds, in order to be able to acquire a van, which will serve as an essential tool for carry- ing out its mission, making a difference in the lives of hun- dreds of individuals who use the services of the Foundation every day. The Foundation is appealing to the generosity of the public, as well as businesses to help with this noble cause. The van is used in the day- to-day operation of the Foun- dation, supporting logistical activities across its various centres of operation across the island. The Foundation has already secured €5,000 for the cause through their participation in the Malta Social Impact Awards earlier this year, how- ever more funds are required to purchase a van, which will satisfy the needs of the various programmes and projects of the Foundation, and the secu- rity and safety standards of to- day's day and age. Inspire is constantly growing its operation. Over the past months it has refurbished its charity shops and is currently restructuring its gym facili- ties. 2022 will be yet another exciting new year for Inspire as it will be offering new pro- grammes to more clients, hence the need for a new van. "Whenever we called on the public to help us, we were al- ways overwhelmed by the Maltese brand of generosi- ty. We are appealing to the public once again, as we are convinced that our call will not fall on deaf ears", Foundation's Head of Social Enterprise, John Bartolo said. Members of the public can help Inspire Foundation by sending a donation by SMS, Bank Transfer or Cheque.
