FORMER prime minister Joseph
Muscat's home in Burmarrad was
searched on Wednesday by police,
as part of a corruption probe into
the Vitals Global Healthcare hos-
pitals deal.
According to reports, financial
crime investigators entered Mus-
cat's house at 7am and spent at least
three hours on the property, seizing
his mobile phone, along with those
of his wife Michelle Muscat and
their two daughters.
Muscat was apparently aware of
the investigation, as well as the raid
on his home.

THE country should really get its act
together on COVID-19 mitigating
measures because people and busi-
nesses have had enough of having
their freedoms and liberty curtailed,
the head of the hospitality lobby told

An irate Tony Zahra, president of the
Malta Hotels and Restaurants Associ-
ation, said that the harsh measures im-
posed by the authorities to control the
spread of COVID-19 had left Malta
struggling to catch up with its south-
ern European neighbours.
