maltatoday | SUNDAY • 1 MAY 2022 14 COMMERCIAL WHEN one hears the word 'OZO', one thinks of a long- standing family-run company, providing the best cleaning and personnel outsourcing services on the island. A company which started with one man and a business idea over 26 years ago as 'OZO System Limited', later changed to 'OZO Malta' and has now become 'OZO'. Over the years the group worked at securing its position in the local market whilst con- tinuously looking to expand beyond the Maltese horizon. With the company officially opening its first internation- al branch in Budapest earlier this year; directors believed that it was the right time for a branding update. With reference to the name change, focus has been placed on 'OZO' to open doors to in- ternational markets and have a more streamlined brand when the company is present- ed and used throughout. The branding was created with the three company pillars in mind; Our People, Our Values and Our Evolution; three im- portant aspects which are the base of all company decisions and brought out in the day-to- day actions of each employ- ee. A key element of the new branding is the new logo. The logo is a mix of modern ele- ments representing contem- porary thinking and future endeavours, together with a classic touch to represent the ties with its original founda- tions. The launch of the rebrand was presented to all execu- tive personnel present for OZO Group's first employee seminar. During the semi- nar; themed 'Expanding Ho- rizons', the group's chairman and founder, Mario Muscat and CEO, Fabio Muscat, both shared milestones of the com- pany, exciting new projects and stories from personal ex- periences. They encouraged their staff to go beyond their comfort zone, push bound- aries and work on building a fantastic future. Motivational speaker Nathan Farrugia was also invited to provide an in- spirational talk, together with the organisation of teambuild- ing activities. The group's strategy is to continue investing in its peo- ple and the enterprise; the re- brand was just the start to the development and evolvement of OZO. The aim is to reach clients all over the world, providing the expert service the company is known for, as well as building new commer- cial relationships based on the trust and professionalism OZO always delivers. OZO Malta rebrands to OZO OZO chairman and founder, Mario Muscat THE newly formed Furniture Manufacturing Business Sec- tion within The Malta Cham- ber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, has elected its Executive Committee. The Ex- ecutive Committee is formed from cross-industry represent- atives from a variety of furni- ture manufacturing sectors. The Malta Chamber Dep- uty President Chris Vassallo Cesareo, who spearheaded the establishment of this new Business Section said that "It is essential that this vital in- dustry gets the representa- tion that it deserves through the formation of this Business Section at The Malta Cham- ber." He said that, "this Business Section and its Executive Committee will start to ad- dress the needs of the furni- ture manufacturing industry, an exercise which will re- quire a holistic approach that must encompass education and training for the industry workforce." The newly elected Chair- person of the Furniture Man- ufacturing Business Section, Luana Falzon, spoke about the need to champion Mal- tese companies in this field. Falzon said that, "I feel that Malta has a lot to offer in terms of its furniture manu- facturing sector. I believe that part of our work as a commit- tee must be showcasing the quality of the Maltese furni- ture manufacturing product as well as laying the founda- tions for this sector to con- tinue to prosper." The Committee already started to set out its priori- ties. Amongst the first tasks the Committee will address is the dire shortage of workers joining the sector, a priority which goes hand in hand with the Committee's drive to in- crease education and aware- ness on the nature of the jobs in this sector. The elected members com- prising the Furniture Man- ufacturing Business Section Executive Committee are: Luana Falzon Chair, Jennif- er Xuereb Sammut, Deputy Chair, and Joseph Abela, Jo- seph Borg, Sebastian Degior- gio and Terence Delia.
