Sam Ryder will be accompanied by local artists Destiny, Kurt Calleja, Red Elec- trick and Ryan Hili. The artist shot to fame in 2020, as the world went into lock- down, Sam Ryder uploaded the first of his now infamous cov- ers. They quickly caught the attention of some famous fans (think Justin Bieber, Sia, Alicia Keys and Elton John) – with compilations of his videos ap- pearing on The Ellen Show, BBC's Newsbeat and more. As the videos kept coming, so did the fans – with his TikTok standing at over 12.9 million followers to date and hundreds of thousands of comments. This fame was cemented afterwards with the viral hit 'Whirlwind' that was uploaded online with- out any expectations and any anticipation of what was to fol- low. Sam Ryder continued to rise in fame and popularity with the release of the now iconic Euro- vision Song Contest Song 'Space Man'. This song not only gave the artist the second spot in the most watched television show in the world but it also show- cased his talent across the globe. 'Space Man' is richly raw, as Sam describes what the world would be if he was an astronaut, in the dreamiest sense. His authentic lyrics are paired perfectly with the gravelly voice that makes the artist's music so remarkable.
