maltatoday | SUNDAY • 19 JUNE 2022 14 COMMERCIAL Sixth edition of MCAST's ICA Festival launched THE sixth edition of the MCAST ICA festival will be held from 7 July to 31 July at Spazju Kreattiv. The festival celebrates the tal- ent and work of the Institute for the Creative Arts (ICA) students. MCAST and Spazju Kreattiv signed a memorandum of under- standing for continued collabora- tion to ensure that students have the opportunity to showcase their work. This was announced during the pre-festival launch in the presence of the Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Inno- vation Clifton Grima and Minis- ter for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici. The festival, supported by Spazju Kreattiv and Arts Council Malta, will feature work from the final- year Bachelor of Arts students and talent from the advanced di- ploma students. It demonstrates how students work collaborative- ly across disciplines to develop the skills and knowledge needed in the sector. This year's edition of the MCAST ICA Festival also com- memorates Donald Friggieri's contribution to education in cre- ative arts. Mr Friggieri, who sadly passed away this year, was a pio- neer in the appreciation and study of Design in Malta and a passion- ate educator for over 30 years. He inspired many people, particularly the MCAST community, where his legacy is still very much present. MCAST offers over 190 courses offered by six institutes in Mal- ta and Gozo. The Institute for the Creative Arts offers over 25 courses, from entry-level courses to courses at Bachelor's and Mas- ter's levels courses. The ICA has a student popula- tion of over 1000 students. Pro- spective creative arts students and their families are invited to the Open Day activity at the Mosta Campus on Sunday, 19 June, from 5 pm to 9 pm. Information about various courses in fine art, graphic design, graphic printing, perform- ing arts, fashion design, product, and spatial design, game art, cre- ative media production, journal- ism, and more will be given during this event. Malta's largest real estate group have now come up with a new man- aged sole agency offer that will improve on that record. Experience has shown that there are a number of key ele- ments that must be in place for a property to sell. With this new offer, Frank Salt Real Estate shall be ad- dressing all of these issues at no extra charge. Firstly, a dedicated and expe- rienced agent will be assigned to an owner to act as their primary point of contact. The correct advice shall be given with regards to pricing and presentation. This agent will hand-hold the owner all the way and will be responsible for everything from coordination of appointments, client feed- back and negotiation of price and terms. Secondly, the company shall prepare professional market- ing material for every property. Their in-house photographer is the leader in local real estate photography. Owners shall al- so be offered property staging since presentation of a home is so important. "We have always led the local real estate industry forward, and I believe it is really time to take another step forward and market properties in a more professional manner. With this new managed sole agency, we shall give owners the ded- icated assistance they deserve in order to not only make the sale process quicker and more efficient, but also to take away all the frustration owners are currently experiencing. No- body knows the local market better than we do and we want to channel all our experience to improve on our current ser- vice" said company director Grahame Salt.
