But a difficult waiting game is at hand in a bid by the police to have Hashem- inejad, believed to be in the United States of America, ex- tradited. MaltaToday is informed the IAWs were despatched to American justice counterparts in early 2022, requesting the extradition of Hasheminejad to Malta to answer on possible charges, yet to be filed, for fa- cilitating large volumes of sus- picious transactions that could have criminal origins.
