Alex Issigonis, the designer of the Mini, arrived in Malta as a 15-year old refugee from Smyrna together with his parents Constantine and
Hulda Prokopp. His father died in Malta and is buried at Ta' Braxia cemetery while he and his mother proceeded to England.
Emilie Borg (24 years) together with her children Felix (8 years), William (5 years) and
Melita (5 months).
Eleonara Borg (24) was already a widow when she returned to Malta. Her children are Angele
(3) and Peter (four months).
