maltatoday | SUNDAY • 20 NOVEMBER 2022 13 COMMERCIAL CHANEL's Holiday 2022 collection CHANEL HOLIDAY 2022 COL- LECTION Ask for the Moon. Leave your mark on it. And celebrate the holidays in a swirl of stars. For 2022, the CHANEL Makeup Creation Studio has captured every facet of the moon in an exclusive collection steeped in reverie and mystery. In shadow and in light, in simplicity and in opulence, in shades of am- ber, red and gold, the moon be- comes intertwined with legend in a modern-day fairytale. The eyes, cheeks, lips and nails take on a celestial shimmer. The skin is enveloped in fabulous, scented oils studded with gold- en and pearlescent particles. The entire CHANEL galaxy is revealed in a tremendous flash of light, from the Earth to the Moon. AN ICON ON A TRIP TO THE MOON An idea, a trail… and a sil- houette that is eternally sym- bolic. N°5 has left its imprint on the lunar surface of a satin illuminating powder dotted with bronze sparkles. ÉCLAT LUNAIRE OVERSIZE ILLU- MINATING FACE POWDER is an exclusive creation that sculpts the face's contours and enhances the complexion with a soft pearlescent glow. In a subtle play of shadow and light, LES 4 OMBRES - OMBRES DE LUNE features a combina- tion of delicate, mesmerizing shades. Ranging from matte to pearlescent and from copper to ambery gold, satiny bronze and matte brown, the eyes are set aglow by a twinkling shim- mer. Each eyeshadow in this exclusive creation is embossed with a symbol of the House, a detail that is quintessentially CHANEL. THE MOON IN ALL ITS RADI- ANCE DUO LUMIÈRE accentuates the brows, lashes and lids with a flash of iridescence, giving the eyes depth and radiance. Flecked with gold and cop- per sparkles, its transparent gel formula adds a soft touch of light to the eyes. The new high-intensity lipstick ROUGE ALLURE L'EXTRAIT coats the lips in warm, luminous color. It can be refilled as often as desired, which makes it possi- ble to experiment with all four shades in the Holiday 2022 col- lection: a luminous, orangy red, a warm brown, a brownish rose- wood, and a cherry red. Availa- ble in two mysterious shades, ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE of- fers a lunar fusion of satin shine and ultrawear color, for a fiery, radiant makeup look. A must- have addition to any holiday outfit, LE VERNIS assumes a mineral-inspired color scheme featuring a unique range of pre- cious hues: a brownish red with a lacquered finish, a gold khaki with a dazzling finish, and a top coat with pearlescent amber sparkles that illuminates any nail color. A SHOWER OF SCENTED STARS Because the moon is insepa- rable from the stars, CHANEL has captured them in the form of two limited-edition products scented with the House's leg- endary fragrances. For beautiful skin that shines with sensuality. A body oil with a rich, captivat- ing, voluptuous texture. Burst- ing with pearlescent gold spar- kles, it lends a subtle shimmer to the skin. Its lightweight fluid formula leaves skin hydrated, satiny, and delicately scented An iridescent water-based gel that melts onto the skin in a whirlwind of fragrance, leaving it delicately fresh, sensual, and refined. Zero Waste Future programme recruits 50 businesses, recycles 20 tonnes of material THE Zero Waste Future (ZWF) programme was launched in Malta in 2019 with the support of The Coca-Cola Foundation and GSD Marketing Ltd. This project is implemented by the Cypriot NGO AKTI Project and Research Centre. Focusing on increased recycling, prevention of land and marine litter, together with providing engaging solutions, awareness-raising events, and participatory processes, ZWF engages the local coastal HoReCa industry, citizens, authorities and NGOs to take ownership towards a sustainable future. Through social and tradition- al media, the Zero Waste Future initiatives and activities have reached more than 1 million people to date. Over 40 tons of recyclable materials have been collected through on-the-go recy- cling bins in Vittoriosa, as well as beach and seabed clean-up activ- ities, that saw the participation of more than 500 volunteers. For the first time in Malta, a waste char- acterisation study was carried out in cooperation with the Vittoriosa Local Council. Fifty HoReCa outlets were en- rolled in the Responsible Coastal Business Network (RCBN) pro- gramme. These outlets were pro- vided with an innovative Guide of Good Practices, which resulted in an additional 40 tons of waste being recycled. Chill Café & Bis- tro, Don Berto Restaurant and Agħmilli Café Cafeteria ranked as the top three performers in this network and were recognised by the Minister for the Environ- ment, Energy and Enterprise, Hon. Dr Miriam Dalli. Local de- signer Marco Parascandolo was also recognised for using recycled and sustainable material in his outfits. In fact, awards compère, Clare Agius, was wearing a Paras- candolo dress sewn from recycled material. ''The way to tackle the inter- connected global challenges of packaging waste and climate change is through collaboration and sharing of knowledge, expe- riences, and best practices. This programme brings together pri- vate businesses, NGOs and Gov- ernment in achieving meaningful and lasting results. We look for- ward to continue working togeth- er in this partnership, so we can drive change and protect the en- vironment for our future genera- tions'' said Maria Micallef CEO of GSD Marketing Limited. ''In today's age the world is fac- ing various challenges especially those related to the environment. However, we need to join forces, with the private sector and differ- ent organizations, so that collec- tively we continue raising aware- ness and drive real change that can result in long lasting environ- ment protection'' said Hon. Dr Miriam Dalli, Minister for Envi- ronment, Energy and Enterprise. The programme will run until July 2023, expanding the coop- eration with the Local Councils of Cospicua and Senglea. Further waste characterisation will be performed in these localities, and we will focus on a further drive for the enrolment of new members to the RCBN. The Litterless cam- paign of Ekoskola has partnered up to engage and inspire current and future generations. Festivals Malta and Sports Malta joined forces with Zero Waste Future to expand the zero-waste concept during their events. This program is also supporting the local NGO Zibel to recover and recycle ma- rine litter, which is collected dur- ing marine and beach clean-ups. This 360-degree approach ena- bles us to start from the preven- tion of littering to the collection and recycling of marine waste. Sustainability is the only way forward and we will endeavor to give our support to this case in the local context.
