maltatoday | SUNDAY • 26 FEBRUARY 2023 10 COMMERICAL National Lottery instant scratch cards to be sold from Convenience shops NATIONAL Lottery plc will distribute its portfolio of In- stant Scratch Card products via the Convenience Shop network, following the signing of a mem- orandum of understanding. National Lottery plc, which took over the operation of the national lottery of Malta in July 2022 will be launching its In- stant Scratch Card products in Q2 2023 under the brand name SCRATCHIZ. The initial suite of eight differ- ent scratch card products will be available through the network of 86 Convenience Shops strategi- cally located across Malta. The MOU enables National Lottery plc to extend the network of shops that will be authorised to sell the full range of Scratch Cards under the SCRATHIZ brand. "We are very pleased to have come to terms with The Con- venience Shop to extend the retail reach through which the SCRATCHIZ product will be available," Franco De Gabriele, Chief Commercial Officer of National Lottery plc, said. "We have been working relent- lessly to be in a position to add the Instant Scratch Card prod- uct to our existing rich portfolio of lottery products and are glad that we have found a distributor of the calibre of the Convenience Shop to extend the reach of our Instant Scratch Card products." The Chief Commercial Officer of The Convenience Shop (Hold- ing), Sharon Sammut, expressed the company's enthusiasm for joining the National Lottery's newest scratch card launch. She stated that as a business that always looks for inven- tive ways to expand its range of high-quality products for its customers, they see this collab- oration as a great opportunity for growth. Their strategical- ly located outlets give them an edge as distributors, providing them with a distinct advantage in terms of sales potential. Meanwhile, the Convenience Shop's customers benefit from a broader range of products avail- able at the same location. In es- sence, this is a mutually benefi- cial partnership for everyone. Frank Salt Real Estate renews two-year sponsorship of Sliema ASC's senior waterpolo team FRANK Salt Real Estate and Sliema ASC are pleased to an- nounce their continued partner- ship, with the former once again renewing its sponsorship of the club's senior water polo team for the next two years. Grahame Salt, the Director of Frank Salt Real Estate, acknowledged the club's prestigious history and ex- pressed pride in the company's ongoing association with Sliema ASC. Kevin Saliba, the vice-pres- ident of Sliema ASC, welcomed the renewal of the sponsorship and highlighted the company's commitment to the community. This season, Sliema ASC has welcomed the return of foreign players to the local game, with the club investing in two world- class athletes. The first is Andrija Prjlain- ovic, widely regarded as one of the greatest players ever, having won every accolade the game has to offer, including two Olym- pic gold medals. His extensive knowledge, skill, experience, and lethalness in front of goal are expected to greatly benefit the team. The second foreign player is Russian national team captain Dimitry Kholod, a strong and versatile player with great power and effectiveness in attack. The club also recognizes the impor- tance of their Maltese players, especially the young academy graduates who are showing promising development. Frank Salt Real Estate has a strong history of involvement in sports, acknowledging the significant role they play in fos- tering community cohesion and promoting healthy and active lifestyles.
