Argentina's mint, Casa de la Moneda, cannot keep up with the Central Bank's (BCRA) requests for new banknotes, and will start importing them from Paris and Malta. In Malta, Swedish company Crane Cur- rency has won a tender to print and de- liver 180 million 1,000 Pesos banknotes. e total cost of the tender is under- stood to be around $22.15 million, France's Oberthur will print and deliver another 80 million banknotes for $9 mil- lion.
