Anyone with any information on the individual is encouraged to con- tact the Police by sending a message via their Facebook page or by calling the Headquarters, even anonymous- ly, on 21224001/119. The public can also visit the nearest police station and quote the number 14/2023. A police officer was slightly injured during a fight which broke out next to a popular nightclub establish- ment in San Gwann on Monday. The police said their assistance was requested at around 10 pm in Triq Ħal-Għargur, Iklin. The officer was injured while trying to breakup a fight involving a num- ber of individuals. Another individual involved in the fight also suffered injuries. An ambulance took the injured per- sons to Mater Dei Hospital, where they were certified for their injuries. The police are questioning individ- uals over the incident, a spokesper- son said. Investigations are ongoing. "We fully recognise the impact that pregnancy loss can have on our people, and just as we have of- fered the necessary and appropri- ate support in the past, this policy provides a structured offering to our people during such difficult times," said Sarah Mifsud, Chief People Officer at the company. "This is just another step for- ward in providing them the time and space they need to grieve and recover without the added stress of worrying about their financial situation." A miscarriage is the loss of pregnancy before the 23rd week. It is fairly common, with around 10-15% of pregnancies ending in miscarriage. GO's policy is part of its exist- ing well-being programme that supports employees in balancing their work and family life. The company said it is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace, where all employees are valued and supported. The new policy supports the impacted employee but also has measures in place to help the in- dividual transition back to work.
