Having successfully read a Doctorate in Law at the University of Malta, Sammut has occupied several management positions with leading companies in Mal- ta. One of his most prominent legacies is the time he was engaged by the Polidano Group. The experience he gained there was invaluable and he was also able to continue nurturing his expertise in the construction in- dustry whilst managing the Group's Legal Department. As Managing Partner and Founder of Sammut Advo- cates and Consultants, Sammut has managed to lead the firm from a start-up to one of the most prominent boutique law firms in Malta. He is involved with a number of stakeholders, and thus he is considered an influential member and con- sultant for a vast number of companies both locally and internationally. Being a lawyer by profession, he is also practising in the Courts of Malta, in the criminal, com- mercial and civil fields. The Metropolis project was initiated earlier in March and is set to be an avant-garde mixed-use architectural project which will be an easily distinguished landmark with its prominent Towers. Metropolis is set to be one of Malta's most exceptional property developments and a landmark in the heart of Gzira. The site selected for this development sits squarely between Malta's more popular business districts, min- utes away from Sliema & St. Julians, Ta' Xbiex, and Val- letta. The site is also well connected to the main road network hub of this part of the island. Thanks to its strategic location, the project will pro- vide residents and corporate employees some of the most spectacular views in Malta which includes Malta's fortified capital, Valletta, the yacht marina at Ta' Xbiex, the inlet known as Sliema 'creek' and the historically significant Manoel Island. Speaking about this appointment, Sammut said, "I am excited to take on this role for one of the largest up- coming real-estate projects in the country. As Metrop- olis Malta, we are eager to complete this project and provide the area with the economic boost it deserves. At the same time, we look forward to coordinating with all stakeholders, including residents, businessmen, lo- cal authorities, NGOs and more." During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer, Sammut will continue serving his previous responsibilities at Sammut Advocates and Consultants, whilst also prac- ticing at the Courts of Malta. Jean Paul Sammut
