maltatoday | SUNDAY • 6 AUGUST 2023 9 COMMERCIAL MCAST announces KampuSajf – an Arts Festival on Campus powered by APS Bank THE Malta College of Arts, Sci- ence, and Technology (MCAST) will host the first edition of the arts festival production ti- tled, 'KampuSajf '. The Festival is powered by APS Bank under the artistic direction of Stjanu Debono. The Festival will be held from 25 until the 28 August at MCAST's Paola Campus and on the 30 August at MCAST's Mosta Campus. This production will serve as a new and enriching experience for College students and staff, especially those study- ing and working within the cre- ative arena. The Festival is open to the general public, enabling those who attend to familiar- ise themselves with the College and experience an eclectic pro- gramme of events. Joachim James Calleja, MCAST Principal & CEO, said 'MCAST is delighted to present Kam- puSajf for the first time on our campuses in Paola and Mosta, thanks to the generous support of APS Bank. We are thrilled to be closely collaborating with the artistic community in Malta and providing them with a platform for their work at MCAST. It is truly exciting to witness our campuses brimming with arts and creativity during the less busy days of our academic cal- endar.' Stjanu Debono, KampuSajf Artistic Director said 'this is a multidisciplinary festival that will prioritise indigenous artistic work in Malta and will serve as an alternative platform to differ- ent art forms including music, literature, contemporary dance, improvised theatre, and animat- ed film.' This event is set to fill a gap in the summer c a l e n d a r , presenting an alterna- tive cultural e x p e r i e n c e for the whole c o m m u n i t y . Inspire Foundation Presents 'Jien Suċċess' INSPIRE Foundation, Malta's leading organisation in the dis- ability sector, is announcing the launch of its televised fundraising marathon, "Jien Suċċess," which will take place on Sunday, 20th August 2023 from noon to mid- night. This 12-hour telethon aims to raise essential funds for the construction of the Rehabilitation & Wellness Centre at Inspire's Marsascala facility. The event will be broadcast on TVM, ONE, and NET TV stations, reaching thou- sands of viewers across the nation. The chosen theme, "Jien Suċċess", perfectly embodies the core philosophy of Inspire Foun- dation - that every individual, re- gardless of limitations, conditions, or disability, deserves the op- portunity to achieve success and reach their full potential. The tele- thon will showcase children,adults and families who benefit from the services of Inspire Foundation and are on their journey towards suc- cess. "We firmly believe that every- one has the right to equality and full participation in society," said Antonello Gauci, CEO of In- spire Foundation. "Through 'Jien Suċċess,' we aspire to raise funds for our groundbreaking project, the Rehabilitation & Wellness Centre. This initiative will be unique to Malta and will cater to the needs of numerous individu- als, including accident survivors, stroke patients, people with fibro- myalgia, and the elderly, among others." The Rehabilitation & Wellness Centre aims to establish a fully accessible facility, equipped with a rehabilitation gym tailored to the specific needs of individu- als with neurological injuries or physical limitations. The centre will introduce a range of new ser- vices designed to provide emo- tional support and specialized offerings aimed at empowering and improving the well-being of hundreds of individuals and their families. "We have ambitious plans for this project, and the estimated cost for constructing this facility is approximately €400,000," con- tinued Gauci. "With the support of our generous donors, we hope to create a safe and inclusive space that fosters growth, rehabilitation, and success for all. Join us for a heartwarming and empowering experience, as we unite as a com- munity to help those in need. To- gether, we can make a difference and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for indi- viduals with disabilities." Inspire Foundation is inviting individuals, companies, and com- munities to participate in the "Jien Suċċess" telethon by contributing as donors or volunteering on the event day.
