ROSIANNE Cutajar's employment as a
consultant to the Institute for Tourism
Studies' CEO in 2019 was "illegitimate"
and breached regulations, the National Au-
dit Office concluded.
In a scathing opinion, the NAO found no
evidence to substantiate the need for ITS
to employ a consultant, also questioning
the MP's credentials for the contracted job.
The NAO report titled A Review Of The
Employment Agreement Of The Consult-
ant To The Chief Executive Officer, Insti-
tute Of Tourism Studies, was tabled in par-
liament on Tuesday.

THE joyrider accused of the at-
tempted murder of a police of-
ficer in a 2018 hit-and-run inci-
dent has been granted bail once
again, following a positive psy-
chological report.
Liam Debono is awaiting tri-
al for the attempted murder of
PC Simon Schembri whom he
ran over in 2018, aged just 17.
After being run over, the po-
lice officer was dragged for
several metres by Debono's
car, suffering extensive friction
burns to his body and causing
so much damage to the officer's
arm that it had to be amputat-
ed.
