Three women have come forward with stories of sexual, psychological and physical abuse they
suffered during their childhood at Lourdes Home, an orphanage run by the Dominican nuns in
Ghajnsielem. In an extensive interview with MaltaToday's Karl Azzopardi, the victims recount how
they feel abandoned by the church and give details of the abuse they endured at the hands of nuns
who struck the 'fear of God' in the children they had the duty to care for.
