The rudimentary live broadcast came a week after the White Paper was unveiled with Grech claiming government wanted to allow people to "carry 500 ecstasy pills" for personal use. But now, the Opposition leader is being cautioned internally against this latest crusade built on a misinformed stand of the proposed reform. It would seem Grech acted on a spur, after taking the cue from a Facebook post by former PN MP Jason Azzopardi, who tried to alarm parents with claims the reform would make it legal to possess up to 500 ecstasy pills. The reform piloted by Justice Minister Jonathan Attard a fort- night ago does no such thing. Labour MEP candidate Clint Azzopardi Flores is vowing to resist the European Commission INTERVIEW MT2 Police say nuns behind Gozo abuse cannot be charged The police cannot charge nuns involved in the alleged abuse of children at Lourdes Home in Gozo, as the case is time barred. The nuns still operate freely within institutions owned by the Dominican sisters, despite the long list of serious allegations they face. In July 2022, victims of the abuse met with the Gozo Dioceses Safe- guarding Commission, which led to a police report being filed. A couple of weeks later, the vic- tims were called in for a meeting with police Inspector Kylie Borg. But despite the meeting, the po- lice cannot take any legal action against those involved because too much time has passed.
