The Farsons Brewery Expe- rience is a unique destination that invites visitors to discover the legacy of the Farsons Brew- ery. Housed within The Bre- whouse in the Central Business District, the Experience gives insight into the 1950s brewery and the three entrepreneuri- al families who joined forces to become the island's leading brewers. The Brewhouse is a regener- ated and revitalized building that retains many of the orig- inal features of the old brew- ery, such as the iconic art-deco style façade and the authentic brewing machinery. It is now a multi-purpose landmark, housing commercial offices, a dedicated Brandstore, a Visitor Experience and several food and beverage outlets and event spaces. Melita's eSIM and green SIM offer more secure and sustainable connectivity MELITA has updated its mobile offering with the inclusion of em- bedded SIM (eSIM). This update further enhances the seamless connectivity and environmental sustainability of Melita's services by giving customers the ability to activate their mobile plans direct- ly on their smartphones without the need for a physical SIM card. eSIMs streamline the user ex- perience and allow customers to have more than one number on their phone. They also heighten security by eliminating risks as- sociated with SIM card theft and cloning. By avoiding the need to produce physical SIM cards, eSIMs are also a more sustaina- ble option. For those customers whose phones are not eSIM com- patible, the newest Melita physical SIM cards are more sustainable as they are made from ABS (Acry- lonitrile Butadiene Styrene), a degradable material that burns cleanly when recycled. These green SIM cards provide the same reliability and functionality as cards traditionally made from PVC, with the added advantage of generating less pollution. Kevin Borg, Chief Commer- cial Officer at Melita, highlights the significance of these updates: "Offering eSIM options and intro- ducing physical SIM cards made of ABS are small, but important, actions which support our goal of embracing sustainable practices across our operations." In collaboration with environmen- tal NGO Coast is Clear and local councils, these initiatives aim to embellish public spaces and pro- mote more greenery within the communities it serves. Following successful tree-plant- ing events in Ħaż-Żebbuġ and Santa Luċija, The Convenience Shop will be continuing its green journey with plantings in various localities in the coming weeks. These efforts align with the com- pany's commitment to help make Malta greener and more vibrant for future generations. In addition to these communi- ty-focused events, The Conven- ience Shop organised a special tree-planting event at Kenne- dy Grove in Qawra. This event served as both a company staff event and a community engage- ment initiative. Andrew Attard, Executive As- sistant to the Directors at The Convenience Shop, said, "As a company deeply rooted in our lo- cal community, we're bringing our colleagues together for a mean- ingful cause. Our tree-planting event at Kennedy Grove not only reinforces our commitment to the environment but also fosters team spirit and a closer community en- gagement."
