This move represents a sig- nificant step in Buddy's growth strategy, aiming to transform business efficiency and security in a major international market. Since its inception in 2018, Buddy has made a strong impact on Malta's payroll market, serv- ing major names like Premier Restaurants (McDonald's), Mir- acle Foods, SPAR, Iceland, Vas- sallo Group, Bonnici Bros, and more. With this strong local founda- tion, Buddy is poised to bring its successful model to the UK, leveraging deep market insights and operational excellence. For the past three years, Buddy has worked closely with compa- nies in both Malta and the UK to deeply understand the evolving needs of modern payroll sys- tems. Unlike competitors burdened by decades of legacy, Buddy was developed from scratch, de- signed on a blank sheet of paper to address contemporary chal- lenges effectively. Fueled by a culture of innova- tion and close-knit teamwork, Buddy's journey has been marked by strategic planning and a us- er-centric approach, ensuring that every product development is aligned with customer needs. Recognizing the challenges faced by startups in reaching in- ternational markets, Buddy has successfully utilized grants from Malta Enterprise and Trade Malta. These grants have been instru- mental in supporting our re- search and development efforts, enabling us to innovate and scale our solutions for competitive in- ternational landscapes. Core features EverRoll™ Technology and Ac- cuPay™ System: Delivering auto- mated, precise payroll manage- ment that reduces manual input and enhances compliance. Robust Security Protocols: Including annual PenTest and ISO27001 certification, ensuring top-tier security and data integ- rity. "Our technology goes beyond the basics to deliver a substan- tial improvement in efficiency and user experience," Jonathan Mifsud, CTO of Buddy, said. "Each feature is designed to make a real difference in the lives of our users, reflecting our commitment to excellence and innovation." CEO David Seisun said ex- panding into the UK market was a proud moment for the compa- ny, symbolising its growth from a local startup to an internation- al player. There were no less than 10 different activities over the past few days which were all fully booked. In fulfilling its aim to leave an artistic legacy and expose the up- coming generations to contem- porary art, maltabiennale.art in- cludes several workshops intended specifically for local children and students. Some of these workshops open to school children were set in prom- inent locations such as the Grand Master's Palace and the National Library in Valletta. While pro- viding an interactive experience to students, all such activities were inspired by the theme of the matri-archive focusing on social- ly sensitive topics like femininity, untold stories of women and their effect on breeding resilience, and cultural heritage. Other workshops open to Herit- age Malta Student Passport hold- ers were held in Fort Saint Elmo, Muza, Mnajdra and Ħaġar Qim temples, were also fully attend- ed. Young participants enjoyed a unique experience to meet and discuss with artists and curators who are taking centre stage in the maltabiennale.art. The programme also included specialised workshops intended for children with down syndrome and others on the autism spectrum whilst other activities catered spe- cifically for children with a hearing impediment. Students of the Mal- ta School of Art also participated in workshops designed for them. maltabiennale.art is committed to leave an artistic legacy by in- vesting in upcoming generations, exposing them to contemporary art. The event which, was recently praised by international media and critics, is designed to place Malta on the global artistic map thereby supporting the internationalisa- tion of local artists.
