Officially introduced earlier this week, The Phoenicia Malta Sum- mer Experience features regular events designed to help guests re- lax and rejuvenate while the sun shines, all held within the luxuri- ous comfort of this five-star prop- erty. With a focus on wellness, the summer programme includes Sunrise Yoga and a Sunset Fitness Class – both held in the tranquilli- ty of the hotel's renowned gardens – while guests can also keep fit in style in the ABS & TONE Classes with Sam on Fridays throughout June, as well as indulge in The Phoenicia Malta's state-of-the-art spa. Entertainment and culinary delights are also very much on the summer schedule, with Summer Evenings By The Pool at the Bas- tion Pool Bar & Restaurant. Set against the backdrop of Valletta's 16th century bastions and The Phoenicia Malta's Insta-worthy infinity pool, the series includes a themed event with live music every weekday evening. Flavours of Sicily presents exqui- site Sicilian wines in collaboration with Donnafugata Winery every Monday, served alongside a spe- cially crafted Sicilian dish, while rum lovers shouldn't miss the selection of Zacapa Rum cock- tails at South American Vibes on Tuesdays. Barbecue Under The Stars offers a mid-week barbecue the Maltese way and, to complete the week, guests can sit back at a Gin & Jazz evening on Thursdays and at Tequila Fridays in collab- oration with Don Julio Tequila. Plus, guests can take a front-row seat, cocktail in hand, to Mal- ta's exquisite summer sunset at a Sundown Chillout session with a DJ every Sunday. Within the ho- tel's elegant Palm Court Lounge, there's also the chance to while away the summer to the tunes of the resident pianist, or even mix and mingle with The Phoenicia Malta's management. Photo by Ramon Portell Frank Salt Real Estate announces second edition of children's art competition FOLLOWING the remarka- ble success of last year's chil- dren's art competition, which received an impressive 489 entries, Frank Salt Real Estate is thrilled to announce the launch of its second edition. This year's theme is designed to inspire creativity and cel- ebrate the beauty of Maltese heritage among children and teens. The competition is open to all state, church, and independ- ent schools, as well as summer schools and art clubs. It is di- vided into five categories: ages 5 to 7 years, 8 to 10 years, 11 to 13 years, 14 to 16 years, and 17 to 19 years. The top three en- tries in each category will win cash prizes, and the top ten entries in each category will receive certificates of partici- pation. Participants are invited to create artworks that showcase the unique aspects of Maltese heritage. From traditional ar- chitecture and historic land- marks to intricate lacework and iconic balconies, students are encouraged to explore and depict the elements that make Malta so special. Submissions can be in any traditional art media, including drawings, paintings, cartoons, doodles, and sketches using pencils, crayons, acrylics, oils, watercolors, ink, and mixed media. Digital media entries are also welcome but must be accompanied by hand-drawn sketches. Each participant can submit up to three entries.
