He led a party delegation in a meeting with the Gozo Business Chamber in preparation for the 2025 Budget. The Opposition leader said that Gozo must grow as a result of the hard work being enjoyed by everyone. He said that this is why next year's Budget should not just be a routine process of refinement, but rather a for- ward-looking vision. For their part, the Gozo Busi- ness Chamber memebers said that the document they are pre- senting includes proposals with a forward-looking plan, as they noted that the island of Gozo has deteriorated, particularly in terms of governance. The Gozo Business Chamber firmly believes Gozo should be considered a contributor to the country's economy. The speakers noted that Gozo faces challenges that need to be addressed, particularly in the so- cial sector and infrastructure, is- sues that did not exist previously on the island. However, despite all this, they feel that in certain decisions, the Government lacks the necessary political will and is instead fo- cused on poor priorities. During the meeting, Grech was accompanied by Shadow Minis- ters Graham Bencini, Alex Borg, Ivan Castillo, and Rebekah Borg.
