Health minister Jo Etienne Abela (centre), who was present in Gozo for the launching of the new equipment on Thursday, said that intensive work was carried out over the past six months to build an extension to house the new machine. He said that since March alone, 2,700 tests on a portable MRI machine had been carried. 70% of the patients were Gozitans.
