THE Government Budget for 2025, de-
livered this week, targets projects ranging
from infrastructure and education to social
services and cultural initiatives, with the
aim of transforming Gozo into a stronger,
more accessible, and culturally enriched
island, the minister for Gozo told GozoTo-
day.
Clint Camilleri said that the government
has allocated a record-breaking budget of
€93 million to Gozo, representing the larg-
est budget allocation in the island's history.
"This new budget sees a near €9 million
increase—or 10%—over the previous year
and a remarkable 180% increase over the
last budget allocated by a Nationalist gov-
ernment, which provided only €33 million
for Gozo," he said.
In contrast, Alex Borg, opposition spokes-
man for Gozo, said the Budget was proof
that Gozo is still not a priority for this Gov-
ernment..
