A new farmer, herder, or fisher will have up to 4 years of accredited contributions when they start operating in this sector. - We will be extending qualified sales for direct tax reduction to include products sold through the Food Agency. - We will develop a digital platform where consumers can see the types of fish available at the Fish Market and identify the stores that bought and are selling this fish. - We will invest in fish processing and storage systems at the Fish Market to improve the quality of local products. - We will launch a document for Public Consultation to consolidate our vision for the fishing sector. - We will support fishers to adopt environmentally friendly practices, equipment, and gear. - Infrastructure investment will be made in fishing ports with pillar and winch systems to further support the sector. - Through a €4 million project funded by the EU, we will enhance digitalization in the fishing and aquaculture sectors to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided by the Department for Fisheries. - Following the establishment of Malta's first fisheries and aquaculture research agency, Aquatic Resources Malta, we will implement a number of projects, including international collaborations, while initiating the process for a new aquaculture center. - We will continue to support all those working in the field of animal welfare through financial schemes, helping them to carry out their work in this area, including through a new Foundation to be launched in the coming months. sajd FOR FISHERIES aquaculture animal rights measures &
