a bold agenda for security
and global resilience
As Chair-in-Office of the world's largest regional
security organisation, Malta is uniting nations
towards peace, dialogue and security.

conference ever held
in Malta
In December, Malta will host the Foreign
Ministers of the 57 OSCE participating states
for the 31st Ministerial Council of this organisation.
Malta walks tall at the
UN Security Council
During its 2023-24 term at the UN Security Council,
Malta continues to call for an immediate ceasefire
in the Middle East, and an end to Russia's war of
aggression against Ukraine.
Youth empowerment at the
2025 Maltese Presidency of
the Council of Europe
Malta will revive the Ministerial Youth Conference of
the Council of Europe, which has not been held for
the last 13 years.
Engaging youth to lead
global climate action
This year, Malta launched Climate Diplomacy, a new
OSCE initiative supporting young diplomats and
technical experts to come forward and lead the way
in global solutions to the climate crisis.
Malta elected chair of the
Commonwealth Ministerial
Action Group
For the next two years, Malta will be chairing
this important Group, which works to ensure that
Commonwealth countries safeguard human
rights and other fundamental principles of this
Organisation.
