maltatoday | SUNDAY • 24 NOVEMBER 2024 7 COMMERCIAL Absolut launches limited-edition Andy Warhol bottle celebrating rediscovered blue painting ABSOLUT unveils a rediscovered painting by the renowned American artist, along with a limited-edition bottle championing creativity, nearly 40 years since their initial collabo- ration. Absolut is launching a lim- ited-edition bottle in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts inspired by the re- discovery of Warhol's Absolut 'blue' painting. The new bottle, which embodies the power of expression and progression through art, comes almost 40 years after Absolut Vodka first collaborated with the American artist. The new release will be propelled on a global scale through a dazzling and immersive activation campaign - in- cluding 3D OOH media, high profile in-airport promotional spaces and eye-catching in-store display units at some of the world's busiest airports; from London Heathrow to Dubai International, Sao Paulo to Sydney, Madrid to Santo Domingo. The lim- ited-edition bottle will be rolled out across more than 50 additional global markets from September. Absolut has always believed that art has the power to unite people beyond differences. It's a belief that can be traced to 1985 when Andy Warhol became the first artist to create art- work based on the silhouette of Ab- solut's apothecary-inspired bottle. The artist's original 'Absolut Warhol' – the Absolut bottle painted with vi- brant colours on a black background – is considered iconic. For decades, a second Absolut Warhol painting had been rumoured to exist, but such whispers remained unconfirmed un- til Absolut 'blue' was rediscovered at auction in 2020. In proving its prov- enance, the original contract was un- earthed, confirming two paintings had indeed been commissioned. Through the collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation, Absolut is paying tribute to the rediscovered Warhol Absolut 'blue' painting and, by revitalising the original partner- ship, emphasising the transformative power of creativity through art. New public electric vehicle fast charging service launched in Floriana A new electric vehicle (EV) fast charging ser- vice has been launched at the Malta Public Transport e-bus charging depot in Floriana. Originally established in 2023 alongside the introduction of 30 new electric buses, part of this state-of-the-art facility is now being made available to the public in conjunction with EVPoint, offering a fast and conven- ient charging service for Malta's growing EV community. Since the bus operation uses most of the chargers during the night, EV owners will now have access to six dedicated fast charg- ing points, operational daily from Monday to Sunday, between 09:00 and 18:00. These fast chargers can provide up to 160kW depend- ing on the vehicle that is being charged. Each charging point is equipped to support CCS2 connectors, is compatible with most electric vehicles, and facilitates fast charging. Charging times vary depending on individ- ual battery capacities, with a boost that can be given within just 15 minutes, and a full charge between 30 minutes and 90 minutes, depending on vehicle specifications. To maximise availability for all customers, vehicles can only be parked at the charging points for a maximum of 30 minutes after charging has been completed. This time lim- it encourages fair access to charging resourc- es and enables a higher turnover of available spots, helping to accommodate as many us- ers as possible throughout the day. Customers need to download the EVPoint – Charge Forward App in order to make use of this service. Commercial charges apply and are based on individual consumption. Clear and comprehensive instructions are provided at each charging pole, and users are advised to familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions displayed on-site prior to initiating a charge. This new service demonstrates the com- pany's commitment towards environmental sustainability as it continues to contribute towards reducing the nation's carbon foot- print. A palette of magnificent pink hues CAPTIVATING fuchsia, vi- brant pink, stunning coral: rosy hues meld together, cre- ating a brilliant, magnificent landscape on the canvas. By amplifying the wintry mood with a vast array of unexpect- ed shades, Valentina Li has created a surprising world in- spired by the most marvelous color-shifting arctic phenom- enon. The complexion, eyes, and lips give off a daring allure. In an unprecedented display—in which the only thing to expect is the unexpected—pink takes center stage, a symbol of the fantastical nature of this col- lection full of wintry splendor.
