116 injuries and one fatality in Gozo
traffic accidents in 2024 so far
A total of 116 individuals sustained injuries
in traffic accidents across Gozo in 2024 so
far, with one fatal incident recorded in Żeb-
buġ, according to figures presented in Par-
liament by the Home Affairs minister Byron
Camilleri.
Camilleri., who was responding to a question
by Opposition MP Chris Said, provided a de-
tailed breakdown of the incidents by locality.
Victoria, the island's main hub, registered
the highest number of injuries, with 32 cases.
Xewkija followed with 23 injuries, and Għajn-
sielem recorded 13 cases.
Smaller localities such as Munxar, Għarb,
and San Lawrenz saw fewer incidents, with
three, four, and one injury reported respec-
tively.
