maltatoday | SUNDAY • 29 DECEMBER 2024 7 COMMERCIAL Nestlé Malta's clothes drive delivers hundreds of men's clothing items collected for charity NESTLÉ Malta has success- fully concluded its 5th Annual Clothes Collection Drive, with this year's edition focusing on men's clothing. Over the course of November, the company, alongside members of the pub- lic, collected a total of 1,112 kilograms of clean, pre-loved men's clothing. These items will be donated to Inspire Founda- tion and MSPCA, local NGOs that will use the clothing to sup- port their charitable operations through sales in their thrift shops. In addition, Nestlé Malta has donated double this weight in Nestlé products, over two tonnes, to the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation. This donation sup- ports the Foodbank's invaluable work in ensuring that individu- als and families facing hardship have access to essential food supplies in the short term, while they work toward more sustain- able, long-term solutions. The Foodbank Lifeline Foundation greatly appreciates the direct delivery of donations to their warehouses in Marsa, especially during the festive season. Commenting on the success of the initiative, Anita Olton, Cor- porate Communications Man- ager at Nestlé Malta, said, "We are grateful for the overwhelm- ing response from the commu- nity and our employees. This year's focus on men's clothing has allowed us to address a spe- cific need within our partner or- ganisations while ensuring that our contributions have a lasting impact through the food dona- tions to the Foodbank." Since its launch in 2020, the Clothes Collection Drive has become a staple testament to the generosity and compassion of the Maltese community. Each year, individuals, families and business communities come to- gether to donate clothing, help- ing those in need and making a tangible difference. This ini- tiative reflects the heartfelt en- gagement of the community and Nestlé Malta's dedication to fos- tering care and support through corporate social responsibility. The Clothes Collection Drive remains a key element of Nestlé Malta's broader CSR initiatives, contributing to both local char- itable efforts and sustainable environmental practices. The success of this year's drive un- derscores the power of collec- tive action in addressing societal challenges.
