MAJOR infrastructure projects - including the Gozo airfield and the Gozo Sports and Aquatic Pavilion - should come to fruition in 2025, minister Clint Camilleri said. The Gozo Minister told GozoToday that his aim for 2025 is to ensure that the island continues to thrive as a peaceful haven that offers both modern amenities for its resi- dents and unforgettable experiences for its visitors. "As Minister for Gozo and Planning, my vision for 2025 is rooted in creating a sus- tainable and prosperous future for Gozo and its residents," he writes in a an opinion article carried in this newspaper. "This includes enhancing Gozo's infra- structure and services while preserving its unique character and natural beauty." Camilleri says that tourism remains a cor- nerstone of Gozo's economy, and in 2025, he hopes to see Gozo firmly established as a premier destination for sustainable and cultural tourism. Ongoing road infrastructure improve- ments will also enhance safety and acces- sibility, ensuring that these developments benefit residents and visitors alike. Camilleri says these projects represent the government's commitment to modernising Gozo while meeting the evolving needs of the community. PN's vision Alex Borg, Opposition spokesman for Gozo, told GozoToday he firmly believes the PN has always been, and continues to be, the natural choice for Gozitans. "We have a consistent track record of planning and vision, grounded in an un- wavering commitment to addressing the unique challenges of our island while un- locking its immense potential," he says in his opinion article in this newspaper. He identifies eight main sectors that a PM in government would prioritise in Gozo: infrastructure, healthcare and social ser- vices, economy, educatioon, environment, tourism and culture, community and gov- ernance.
