More than 60,000 people attended the
New Year's Eve celebrations in Valletta
Large crowds of people, including
thousands of tourists, gathered in St.
George Square as well as in the main
streets of Valletta and around the Grand
Harbor to usher in the new year 2025.
The big celebrations in Valletta included
a show in St George Square by local
artists Shaun Farrugia, Ira Losco and
Red Electric, among others. The show
culminated in a performance by world-
renowned artist Cascada.
At midnight fireworks lit up the Great
Harbour. Large crowds appeared at
various observation points around the
Grand Harbor to watch the spectacular
fireworks against the beautiful backdrop
of the Grand Harbor.
The show was hosted by local presenters
Dorianne Mamo, Owen Bonnici, Keane
Cutajar and Taryn Mamo Cefai.
