As part of the hotel's ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, funds generated from its "Do Not Clean My Room" practice will be donated to the local council to support tree-plant- ing efforts in the locality. This initiative aligns with The Waterfront Hotel's broader sustainability strategy, which focuses on reducing environ- mental impact and promoting green practices. Last year, the hotel achieved the prestig- ious Green Key certification, a globally recognized eco-label for sustainable tourism, and was also acknowledged by the Zero Waste HoReCa program for its sustainability initiatives.
