THE Central Bank of Mal-
ta, in collaboration with
the Gozo Regional Devel-
opment Authority, hosted
a webinar on "Household
Wealth: A Regional Analy-
sis for Gozo" on 26 Febru-
ary 2024.
This event presented a
discussion paper examin-
ing household wealth in
Gozo, based on data from
the Household Finance
and Consumption Survey.
The study, conducted
by Central Bank of Mal-
ta economists Valentina
Antonaroli, Martina Cas-
sar, and Valerio Sergio
Castaldo, provides an in-
depth regional perspective
on wealth components,
offering insights for evi-
dence-based policy recom-
mendations.
The webinar also fea-
tured key speakers, includ-
ing Aaron George Grech,
Chief Economist at the
Central Bank of Malta, and
Mario Borg, Chief Exec-
utive Officer, at the Gozo
Regional Development
Authority.
This initiative reflects
the shared commitment
of both institutions to fos-
tering informed economic
discussions and enhancing
regional financial under-
standing.
