This contribution not only un- derscores Lidl Malta's commit- ment to empowering vulnerable communities but also highlights its role in fostering a safer and more supportive environment for those in need. Dar Merhba Bik has been a bea- con of hope for women affected by domestic violence since 1980, providing emergency shelter and comprehensive support services to help them rebuild their lives. The organisation's mission aligns with Lidl Malta's values of community care and social responsibility. As part of this collaboration, Lidl Malta will work closely with Dar Merhba Bik to renovate the chil- dren's playroom within their shel- ter. This initiative aims to create a warm and welcoming space where children can feel safe and support- ed during a challenging time. The renovation will not only en- hance the physical environment but also contribute to the emo- tional well-being of the children, providing them with a nurturing space to grow and heal. "We are deeply moved by the tireless efforts of Dar Merhba Bik in supporting women and their children affected by domestic vi- olence," said Owen Micallef, Lidl Malta Director. "Our donation and collabora- tion reflect our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. We believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing en- vironment, and we are honoured to be part of this mission."
