Call for front desk volunteers at Il-Hagar Museum
IL-ĦAĠAR Museum in Gozo
operates entirely on a volun-
tary basis, with a team that
manages key areas such as op-
erations, finance, events, logis-
tics, marketing, projects, and
restoration.
However, the museum's front
desk volunteers are crucial to
its day-to-day operations, ena-
bling it to remain open all year
round, seven days a week, for
eight hours a day.
These front desk volunteers
come from various back-
grounds and nationalities.
Many of them leave Gozo dur-
ing the summer months to re-
turn to their home countries,
visit family, or take vacations.
This seasonal shift has led to
a shortage of volunteers at the
museum's front desk. To ad-
dress this, Il-Ħaġar Museum is
renewing its call for new vol-
unteers to dedicate an hour or
two each week during the busy
summer months.
By volunteering, individu-
als will play an essential role
in preserving Gozo's cultural
heritage, while also gaining a
rewarding experience. Il-Ħaġar
regularly organizes social
events and team-building ac-
tivities for its volunteers, par-
ticularly over the summer.
Anyone interested in joining
the front desk team can reach
out via email at info@heartof-
gozo.org.mt or by sending a di-
rect message through the mu-
seum's Facebook page. Those
who are unable to volunteer
can still support the museum
by sharing this message with
others.
The museum also expresses
its sincere appreciation to its
current volunteers for their
ongoing commitment and hard
work, which is vital to the suc-
cessful operation of Il-Ħaġar
Museum.
