Sea-sprayed
adventures this
August with
Heritage Malta
FOLLOWING the resounding
success of its two Filfla-Harbour
cruises earlier this summer, one
under the stars and one in full
daylight, Heritage Malta is set-
ting sail once more with two
captivating events this August,
promising unforgettable views
and stories from sea to shore.
On Saturday 2nd August, an
evening cruise will take partici-
pants past the majestic Ta' Ċenċ
Cliffs in Gozo and the world- fa-
mous Blue Lagoon of Comino.
Departing from the Buġibba
Jetty at 6:00pm, this five-hour
voyage offers a chance to un-
wind whilst discovering dramat-
ic coastlines, protected nature
reserves, and rich seabird hab-
itats, all as the sun dips below
the horizon. With prosecco and
nibbles in hand, passengers can
also enjoy the added spectacle
of feast fireworks lighting up the
return journey.
Then on Sunday 17th August,
the Filfla-Grand Harbour Day
Cruise departs from Sliema Fer-
ries at 10:00am for a full day of
discovery along Malta's south-
ern coast. The voyage takes
in the mysterious islet of Filf-
la, once a corsair hideout and
bombing target, now a wildlife
sanctuary, before turning to the
historical Grand Harbour – a
natural fortress steeped in mil-
lennia of history. Along the way,
the boat will pause in the crystal
waters of Il-Ħofriet, offering its
passengers the chance to take a
refreshing swim before return-
ing to Sliema by 5:00pm. Snacks
and drinks will be available on
board throughout the journey.
