6 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | SUNDAY • 19 OCTOBER 2025 Frank Salt Real Estate sponsors the Malta Tennis and Padel Federation FRANK Salt Real Estate is proud to an- nounce its sponsorship of the Malta Ten- nis and Padel Federation (MTPF), reaf- firming the company's commitment to supporting local sports, talent and com- munity initiatives. The MTPF is the national body respon- sible for regulating and promoting both tennis and padel in Malta. Through its two divisions: Tennis Malta and Padel Malta, the federation oversees player de- velopment, national competitions and in- ternational representation. The sponsorship agreement was offi- cially signed by Frank Salt Real Estate Director Grahame Salt, MTPF President Dr Marc Gingell Littlejohn and Deputy President Mr Simon Fiorini Lowell. This partnership unites one of Malta's long- est-established real estate firms with a federation driving two of the island's fast- est-growing sports. "We're truly proud to join forces with Frank Salt Real Estate", said Dr Gingell Littlejohn. "Their continued support of various sports across Malta shows a gen- uine commitment to promoting local tal- ent. For us at the Malta Tennis and Padel Federation, this collaboration is about more than sponsorship, it's about shared ambition and a drive to see tennis and padel reach new heights. We're confident that together, we can make a real differ- ence for our players and the future of both sports on the island." Grahame Salt added, "At Frank Salt Re- al Estate, we believe in giving back to the community. Supporting the Malta Tennis and Padel Federation reflects our passion for helping local talent thrive, both on and off the court. Tennis and padel are grow- ing rapidly in Malta, and we're proud to be part of that journey while promoting teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship." The company now looks forward to the ITF World Tennis Tour M/W15 Tour- nament, kicking off on 26th October; the first time Malta will host this prestigious event. Featuring top international and Maltese players, it promises a thrilling showcase of world-class tennis on home soil. AN upcoming workshop aims to help Malta's self-employed profes- sionals find balance amid the psy- chological and financial weight of going solo. Behind the independence and flexibility that self-employment promises lies another reality – long hours, blurred boundaries, emotional fatigue and the quiet strain of functioning as a one-per- son team. Olivia Bilocca – psychothera- pist, HR strategist and founder of Ethical Living – will spotlight this unseen reality in her workshop When You Work for Yourself, taking place on Friday 21 Novem- ber in Sliema. Designed as an intimate, re- flective session for up to 15 par- ticipants, the event blends psy- chological insights with practical self-leadership tools to help Mal- ta's growing community of free- lancers, consultants and small business owners manage the mental and emotional load that typically comes with self-employ- ment. Olivia Bilocca brings over two decades of experience bridging the worlds of psychotherapy and HR. Known for her warm and ground- ed approach, she has worked across various sectors including financial services, pharmaceuti- cals, iGaming and professional consultancy, helping individuals and teams build healthier, more human-centred ways of working. Open to professionals at any stage of their self-employment journey, When You Work for Yourself offers an honest space to pause and regroup among like-minded people who may be weathering similar storms. Through a mix of guided reflec- tion and group discussion, the workshop will explore topics such as stress patterns, burnout cycles, emotional decision-mak- ing, visibility anxiety and self- doubt. In collaboration with FPEI (Foundation for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Initiatives), the workshop will also tackle the often-overlooked importance of community for local entrepre- neurs. The When You Work for Your- self workshop will take place on Friday 21 November from 9am to 2.30pm at Land's End Boutique Hotel, Sliema. Tickets are priced at €200, with an early bird rate of €185 applicable until Friday 31 October. Parking, a light net- working lunch and refreshments are included. Registration in ad- vance is essential to reserve one of the very few places available. Register online at https://ethical- living.eu/elementor-3237/. Therapist and HR strategist Olivia Bilocca hosts workshop for Malta's self-employed professionals New look and benefits for Heritage Malta passports, which attracted more than 300,000 visitors HERITAGE Malta has an- nounced exciting updates to both its Student Passport and Senior Passport, featuring new designs and benefits, building on strong public uptake. Between January 2019 and December 2024, a total of 303,000 visitors used the two schemes. This initiative rein- forces the agency's ongoing com- mitment to making Malta's rich cultural heritage accessible and engaging for all generations. The Student Passport now boasts a fresh, vibrant design inspired by the mesmerising mosaics housed at the Domvs Romana in Rabat, one of Malta's most iconic archae- ological sites. Alongside the pass- port's new look, more sites have been added to the list where stu- dents can collect stamps, making each visit an even more rewarding adventure. Students holding the previous version of the passport can continue to enjoy access to all included sites, without the need for replacement. The Senior Passport has also re- ceived a fresh new look, featuring Gozo's Ġgantija Archaeological Park. Beyond its updated design, the passport now offers even greater flexibility – holders can bring along any two accompany- ing persons residing in Malta, ex- tending the previous youth-only restriction. This enhancement al- lows senior citizens to share their cultural journeys with an even wider circle of family and friends. To enrol, seniors simply need to visit their Local Council with their ID card. The passport will then be posted to them within ten working days, and for every eight stamps collected, participants will receive a special reward. Noel Zammit, Heritage Mal- ta's Chief Executive Officer, re- marked: "Heritage only thrives when it's experienced. The re- newed passports are more than just access tools – they represent our belief that culture should be part of daily life. By encouraging exploration across all ages, we're ensuring that Malta's heritage re- mains not only preserved, but tru- ly lived and enjoyed. The youngest and oldest generations can enjoy our historical sites for free. The resounding success of this scheme has spurred the agency to plan to open it further, attracting other age groups beyond students and seniors." Both passports provide free and unlimited access to Heritage Mal- ta's museums and sites, with the exception of the Ħal Saflieni Hy- pogeum and Underground Vallet- ta. Through recent collaborations, several new destinations have also been introduced, including St John's Co-Cathedral in Vallet- ta, the Malta Railway Museum in Birkirkara, and the Malta Mu- seum of Football at the National Stadium in Ta' Qali. Heritage Malta invites every- one, from the youngest explorers to the young at heart, to redis- cover Malta's cultural treasures, one visit and one stamp at a time.
