Following the phenomenal success as Offi- cial Partner of the UEFA Wom- en's EURO 2025, which reached over 400 million fans globally, Lidl is now a partner of the UE- FA Women's EURO 2029, the Women's European Qualifiers 2028/29, and the UEFA Wom- en's Nations League 2025, 2027, and 2029 deepening its com- mitment to promoting health, awareness, and empowerment through sport. Extending Lidl's commitment to women's football: 2025- 2030 The extended UEFA part- nership in women's football includes the following tourna- ments: • UEFA Women's EURO 2029 • Women's European Quali- fiers 2028/29 • UEFA Women's Nations League 2025, 2027 and 2029 Significantly, the beloved Lidl Kids Team experience will re- turn to the UEFA Women's EURO 2029, creating once-in- a-lifetime opportunities for chil- dren to walk hand-in-hand with women's football stars, inspiring the next generation of athletes and supporters. Building on extraordinary success The foundation for this extend- ed partnership was formed with the remarkable tournaments over the last two years. This year, the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 continued to grow this suc- cess with Lidl present across all eight host cities and stadiums. The tournament welcomed over 650,000 fans to the stadiums and reached more than 400 mil- lion viewers across the globe. Through brand activations, Lidl distributed 269,950 fruit cups in the Fan Zones and in front of the stadiums to champion healthy living. We were also proud to introduce the Lidl Awareness Team – 57 Lidl employees, who ensured every supporter felt safe and respected, embodying val- ues of belonging and diversity. Central to Lidl's UEFA Wom- en's EURO 2025 activity was the commitment to inspiring girls and young women. The retail- er hosted an international Lidl Youth Camp in Basel which brought together 100 girls aged 14 to 17 from 18 countries, of- fering expert coaching, nutrition workshops, and opportunities to build lasting friendships. Ad- ditionally, Lidl's Fresh Field in Rapperswil-Jona in Switzerland grew and donated over 12 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables to those in need, demonstrating Lidl's commitment to conscious nutrition and community im- pact. Creating passion parity in sport This partnership represents Lidl's commitment to creating equal enthusiasm and support for women's football. By provid- ing the same level of visibility, activation, and fan engagement as for men's tournaments, Lidl helps ensure women's sport re- ceives the passionate support it deserves. Lidl extends commitment to women's football with UEFA partnership through to 2030 TRL and TM honoured at the Intelligent Transport Systems UK 2025 Awards "UK company TRL and Transport Malta won a prestigious award during the Intel- ligent Transport Systems (ITS) UK 2025 awards with a groundbreaking project that will improve project and roadworks coordination with a new fully integrated online system, TM Roads. TRL was awarded the Exporter of the Year Award for the project, which is be- ing undertaken in collaboration with TM. The TM Roads system represents a major step forward in Transport Malta's digital transformation strategy. Built on the cloud-based iROADS platform, TM Roads is a state-of-the-art digital asset management system designed specifical- ly to meet the evolving needs of Malta's transport infrastructure. The system en- ables smarter coordination of roadworks, enhances data-driven planning, and pro- motes greater transparency and account- ability in the management of Malta's road network. This recognition highlights Transport Malta's commitment to embracing in- novation and strengthening the nation's transport systems through advanced technology. The successful collaboration between Transport Malta and TRL Soft- ware reflects both the authority's and the company's shared vision for a more effi- cient, sustainable, and connected trans- port future. The system was developed by the UK company Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) and co-funded through the Malta Digital Innovation Authority's "Gadget" Fund, which supports digital innovation projects enhancing public service effi- ciency and technological advancement. Transport Malta extends its apprecia- tion to ITS UK for recognising excellence across the intelligent transport communi- ty and congratulates all the winners and finalists who continue to drive innovation across the sector." MADC'S hotly anticipated production of The Full Monty opened on Friday at Teat- ru Manoel, kicking off performances until Sunday 2 November of the live stage adap- tation of one of Britain's most iconic comedy films. Directed by Francesca Briffa, Simon Beau- foy's stage version brings all the cheek, heart and humour of his BAFTA-winning original film to Malta. The story follows six unem- ployed steelworkers from Sheffield who shed their clothes to make ends meet – discover- ing courage, friendship and a fair bit of mis- chief along the way. The Full Monty features a star-studded cast including Alan Paris, Stephen Oliver, Brendon Thearle, Lewis Preston, Shaun Riz- zo and Taha Chaudhry, alongside Pia Zam- mit, Coryse Borg, Steve Casaletto, Angelica Sant, Sarah Jane Zrinzo, Antonio Tufigno, Keira Galea, Richard Godden, Alan Azzo- pardi and Matthew Grech Marguerat, while Charlie Paris and Simon Tufigno share the role of 'Nathan'. Behind the scenes, creative team Romual- do Moretti, Nicole Cuschieri, Chris Gatt, Stephen Oliver and Sarah Jane Zrinzo also help bring the much-loved story to life for audiences in Malta. MADC's production of Simon Beaufoy's The Full Monty performs at Teatru Ma- noel, Valletta, on 24, 25, 26, 31 October and 1, 2 November, with all performances at 7.30pm.
